VBO Piping Pro
Trimble SketchUp’s VBO Piping Pro plug-in constructs pipes from edges of groups or components and fittings at vertices.
The plug-in installer will send to you via email as a compressed ZIP file when you purchase the plug-in. The license keys will email to you within 12 hours. If you have two SketchUp licenses, you can use them simultaneously on two different computers. When you deactivate VBO Piping Pro on another computer, you will need to use the Extensions menu in VBO to add a third computer. Once the plug-in has been updated, an email will send to you.
How to Use VBO Piping Pro
Branch Pipes Manufacturing
If you choose a set of components or groups, all inside edges will outline with options such as size, type, and selection. You can select these options from an information box.
Modifying Branches
Turning, physically replacing fittings, including and replacing lessened bramble, and redrawing branches are all options for clients. You can also add names and shading to any branches. This plug-in is adjusting a fitting within SketchUp.
2D or 3D
You can easily switch between displaying the branches in 2D and 3D view by turning on and off the layers “8_mep_piping2D” and “8_mep_piping3D”.
Component or Group
Editing source edges and vertices is as simple as double-clicking on Edit Group or Edit Component when editing a branch. After that, the branch will update to its Settings after the user finishes updating the Group or Component. These collections consist of metal, PVC, HDPE, PPR, welded pipe, and electrical pipe. You can create a Bill of Materials for pipes and fittings.
System Requirement
- The plug-in works best with Windows OS 10 or higher.
- It is recommended to use SketchUp 2019 or higher. SketchUp 2018 is a good program, but this plug-in is slower and has network problems. The best program is SketchUp 2020.1.
