SketchUp is useful for designers, engineers, and architects alike. SketchPlus adds over 30 new tools to SketchUp, including selection filtering, selection memory, mirroring, and alignment, in addition to the common features present in other modelling applications. It was created to function in tandem with other modelling tools. These tools work together intuitively and 3D modelling is a snap using the application, which is as simple to use as SketchUp.
Other plug-ins, such as SketchPlus for SketchUp, can turn the programme into a professional design tool in addition to SketchUp. There is an extension library there that you may look over. You can accomplish practically anything with this plug-in. There are over 500 plug-ins available. Additionally, before selecting a SketchPlus offer, it is recommended that you read community evaluations.
Tag Removes from Edges & Faces
With the Un-tag tools in SketchUp, you can remove tags immediately. A single click enables recursive un-tagging of groups, components, faces, and edges. The Un-tag tool is available in SketchPlus in three versions: Un-tag All, Un-tag Groups and Components, and Un-tag Faces and Edges.
You can use these tools to remove tags within nested groups and components. You know how much time these tools save you if you’ve ever used the 3D Warehouse or CAD.
Materials
Use SketchPlus Un-paint tools to remove materials in your SketchUp model en masse. Use the Deep Paint Faces tool to paint faces across group boundaries and component boundaries.
There are three Un-paint tools in SketchPlus that work on all entities, groups, and components, or faces and edges. SketchUp models that have been imported from the 3D Warehouse or other external sources can benefit greatly from these tools.
Whenever you want to apply the material to a face, all you have to do is click the face instead of having to click into the containing object repeatedly. The material will be applied directly to the selected face and not to its containing group or component regardless of which face you click.
Swap Components
If you select SketchPlus and have a basic understanding of SketchUp, you can swap components. Toolbars can be found in the View menu of the SketchPlus Plug-in. By clicking the option, the component swap toolbar will appear.
You can take advantage of this benefit if you expect to use specific standard components repeatedly in future projects. Thus, there is less chance of making a mistake on upcoming projects requiring the same components. You can finish a sketch that normally takes you several hours in less than an hour if you have SketchPlus.
Change the Axis Location with Change Axes
Using this tip will make drawing much easier for those who have trouble locking or snapping lines. You can send lines to axes in multiple directions using your left, right, up, and down arrow keys. There are blue keys for up and down, red keys for right, and green keys for left.
Wrapping it Up
One of the most popular digital design tools, SketchUp’s popularity shouldn’t come as a surprise. Developers have a continuous task of developing plug-ins to enhance the functionality of the software. In the plug-in community, there are many small and large developers.
