3D Design Studio
3D Design is a comprehensive package of plugins and add-ons for Sketchup to provide the tools we need for creation of 3D scenes, Sketchup Renderings, reporting and client presentations.
The 3D Design Studio includes:
- RpTools – tools for placement and editing of components and other objects into your 3D model.
- IRender nXt – Photorealistic Renderings using our rendering engine
- RpReports – Attributes and Custom Reports on items placed in your 3D model.
- RPS 3D PDF – Interactive 3D PDFs for viewing your model on your website and PDF files.
- Non-Photorealistic Rendering – Sketchy, Soft, Shadows, and more
If we are creating 3D models – Buildings, Landscapes, 3D structures, Products for sale, etc., – then the 3D Design Studio has the tools we need to work productively and to present our designs to your clients.
IRender nXt
IRender nXt provides seamless Sketchup integration, lighting and material settings makes it easy to render photorealistic images.
Quick and Easy to use – Whether designing for work or fun, IRender NXT’s seamless integration into Sketchup makes it quick and easy to create photo-realistic Sketchup Renderings that show our designs at their best.
Time-Saving Features – IRender nXt optimizes our design-time by saving settings together with the 3D model and allowing post-render processing. Updating design and recreate our Sketchup Rendering, without starting over again.
Easy to use
We don’t need to be a rendering geek to generate impressive images with IRender nXt. IRender nXt includes everything we need to get started quickly; lighting scenarios, an extensive material library, and plant library. We do a have few buttons for the more advanced users, but we recommend that we shouldn’t touch them unless its a very serious rendering geek.
Speed
There are two measures of speed, how long did it takes and how long did it takes the computer. Since our computer doesn’t care about what time it is, spending time with kids or grandkids, getting out to the beach or ski slopes, or maybe even drinking beer, our primary focus is on saving time.
IRender nXt gives us an early image very quickly, so we can decide immediately if we need to make a change to the view, lighting or a material. Once we are happy with the setup, then we get to decide how long we want the computer to spend refining the image. Often that is only a few minutes but in some cases it might want to let the computer work over night just to see if it can tell much difference in the morning.

RPS 3D PDF
The RPS 3D PDF exporter will take Sketchup models and turn them into interactive 3D PDF files that can be widely distributed and viewed with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

- Export 3D geometry, with colours and textures, into an Interactive 3D Model presented in a Adobe PDF file
- Easily add titles, notes and comments to the 3D PDF document and create using the 3D PDF Wizard
