This plug in allows the users to create an invisible control cage around an object Creator of this plug in C. PHILPS analysed the importance of control points and their vertices and created it. It is a mesh defined by a series of control points in its vertices and edges that let the users shape the dimensions of a selected object. One can create domes, arches or free flowing organic shapes constructed from the Mesh.

Memory Copy

Memory Copy helps to choose the components and move or rotate into desired position. This amazing tool remembers the last move of the user and duplicate it.

JHS POWER BAR

This extension is a compilation of a bunch of extensions in an easy-to-use UI. This important plug in helps to create an array along the path. It helps to place a series of components in a predefined arrangement.

Follow Me and Rotate

This fabulous plugin combines the traditional Follow me Tool with a rotating action to produce a twirling geometry.

Multiple Offsets

This plug ins creator is Sam D Mitch. This plugin creates multiple offsets of selected surfaces in a model. This tool allows to create multiple offsets at once. If you want to offset an edge multiple times by a fixed distance or a variable distance, this tool allows you to do that. Its Fun working with this tool.

Helix Along curve

This tool is basically a robust toolbox designed to create helixes along paths. While the name is helix along curve, it really just creates helixes along paths. It includes the functionality to affect the radius of the curve (along both ends), allowing you to create a curve that is wider on one side than the other.

Edge Tools

This extension is also useful for plans and maps imported from AutoCAD. It, reasonably, reduces the number of segments, closes small gaps, and detects open ends. It?s a suite of Tools working with edges. It is useful for importing DWG drawings where edges don’t quite line up. Gives a visual map of there are edges with open ends and offer solutions for closing them with one click.

In this SketchUp article, we will teach you to create custom styles by adjusting edge settings to change the way your model looks.

Lines and Saving

In this article, we’re going to talk about how to create your own custom style in SketchUp.

To start off, click this tiny button with the sign thereon. This will create a new style. Name it whatever you’d like. This will be your style. Now to start out off, this may just create a replacement thumbnail within the “In model” drop-down.

First note

If you would like to save lots of your new style, right-click thereon and click on save as then pick a location and you will load this style in future versions of SketchUp.

In addition, if you save your styles during a folder, you will use the “Open or create a collection” choice to open all the styles in a given folder.

Edge Setting
Creating and editing a style

Now let’s talk about customizing our style.

To customize your style, you are going to seem under the “edit” tab. This is where all of your different style options are located. If you check out this section, there are 5 boxes right at rock bottom of the edit tab – this is often where you are going to vary the design options in your model.

The one that appears sort of a wireframe box is where you edit your edges. In this box, you will change everything from showing edges in the least, to changing the thickness of your lines, to adding extensions and endpoints to your lines. Jitter will render your lines at a small offset, giving your model a small hand-sketched look.

Remember that once you start getting plenty of various lines in your model, having most of those turned on will slow your model down.

The sink at rock bottom allows you to regulate how lines are colored. Turn on “by axis to ascertain which lines in your model are drawn along axes.” If the lines aren’t colored, they are not drawn straight on an axis.

In this article , I am going to highlight some of the tips inside Sketchup essential. These are going to be core principals and this will save a lot of time when you are modeling inside Sketchup. Now let’s get started –

Using Move tool to create single copies

Multiple Copies
Move tool

A lot of people do to make copies across the space is they use copy paste function. This takes a lot of time to do it. You can definitely do it , but there is a much faster way to do multiple copies of objects. The way to do this – move the Move Tool and use the array function. So the array function works is you can activate the move tool to go in the copy mode and then tap the control key (Clt) and notice that you get a Plus as an icon. Plus means icon is in copy mode. Then click , you will notice the object has been copied , but if you tap control key , it will not be in copy mode. You can use this to do multiple copies and save time.

Copying multiple objects at once with the move tool

Rotate tool
Rotate tool

You can also copy multiple objects with the move tool. For example, if you want to copy an object twice then click on the object , press shift key and tap the M key and tap the control key and now when you click and move your mouse, you will notice there are two object copies by using single time move tool.

Creating multiple objects with Arrays by using move tool

Multiple Copies
Move tool

Not only you can create individual copies but you can make a arrays of copies with this move tool. Let’s say we have make a copy four times in an object. We can activate the move tool, tap control key to be in a copy mode and then we will single click and move my mouse , making sure that this along in this space. Press start key on your keyboard and type the number of copies needed. Here we need four copies, so we have tapped on four. We will notice that there are four number of copies created. So it is real easy to make copies in copy mode.

Creating equally spaces copies with Arrays by using Move tool

Its not only can you do that multiplication, you can also do that with division. So let’s say , I have to create copy by clicking moving my mouse, I can also type in divided by forward slash key and then the number of copies I can create so I type in divided by 3 or divided by 4 . Notice I can adjust number of copies , as long as I don’t click somewhere else.

Sketchup Plugin for rendering is an essential part of 3D modeling and designing. Rendering is used in many ways by many types of users, including architecture, freelance CAD drafting services, virtual engineering, and visual effects. This is the step to convert 3D models into 2D images. Photorealistic or diagrammatic are one of the rendering style available. You also have a range of advanced modeling programs to create stunning and excellent 3D visualizations.

SketchUp is one such program that was introduced in 2000. This Sketchup software is a well managed program and is well-known within the industry which is why it is used by many designers. This is the reason why so many designers, and engineers have stared using SketchUp on a everyday bases . It is simply, client friendly, and non expensive to get things up and running. When paired with correct rendering plugin, SketchUp software transforms into a 3D rendering and visualization tool that has the capability to rival design software that has long been dubbed superior.

In this plugin industry there are many SketchUp rendering plugins to choose from. This article will help you to find best SketchUp rendering plugins available and will narrow your search. Some plugins have free trials for 30 days available from their websites for you to try so you can get the perfect plugin program that you need. Sketchup has limited rendering capabilities. This is the reason why rendering plugins are important for using this program for that purpose. Creators have created some third-party plugins for SketchUp because it has become famous. The following are few examples of rendering plugins which are best in the market:

Brighter 3D

Brighter3D has potential to naturalistic rendering from any Sketchup scenes easily by integrating exclusive noiseless rendering technology. Brighter3D can deal with artificial, daylight and HDRI lighting.

Brighter 3D can be used in SketchUp 8, SketchUp 2013, SketchUp 2014 and SketchUp 2015 free or pro version and also be compatible with Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 (32 or 64bit). It also supports 64 bit version from SketchUp 2015 64bit. Brighter3D is available in free & pro version. The latest version is Brighter3D 2.3 which was introduced in March 2015. This newest version contains 100 pre-sets (Pro) and 10 pre-sets (free).

SU Podium

SU Podium is a high-end retracing engine merged with a physical sky system and a set of carefully calibrated pre-sets to make SketchUp rendering straightforward ,enjoyable and beautiful. It simplifies the rendering process, and helps to get from SketchUp scene to beautiful photorealistic image as easily as possible, and surprise your clients in the process.

SU Podium
SU Podium

One area in which Su Podium excellent is lighting for both interiors and exteriors. It uses two types of natural light – the sky and sun. You can use this to change final bitmap. This rendering plugin doesn’t requires to use photo editing program such as Light room or Photoshop.

V-Ray

The best in V-Ray is the architectural rendering platform. It gives photos realistic rendered results. V-Ray provides best high quality Walk-through animation of the project. Interactive rendering is a good option to work in a time of Covid-19 pandemic.

The drawback of V ray is, it has slow and complicated UI. It could have more Material Library. It takes lot of time in managing rendering settings. If you have good amount of time and keen interest in Pre-visualization and animation then go for it freely. It makes my architectural project more realistic. Thus, this helps in performing the project to client in a more effective way and client get more clear pre-visualization of the project instead of a normal 3D Model.

It is helpful in rendering walkthrough video of the complete project which result in detailed visualization of the project. Interior Designs of a Commercial and residential space is rendered with the help of V-Ray. Cut-Out 3D plan of any project can be rendered with V-Ray. Rendered images of project used as a business presentation and advertisement which makes it a impressive way.
